If you are stopped: SIX SIMPLE RULES

6. After you are arrested (expect to be arrested), the officer will read you a long form regarding chemical tests. Say, “YES” and do what the officer demands. You are only required by law to provide one single breath test, or a blood or urine test.

Yes, you are going to be arrested. There is no talking your way out of a DUI. Suck it up, buttercup. Follow the advice I am providing, and you will have potential defenses. Do not talk after the arrest. Keep quiet. Remain calm and polite. Submit to the evidential test because the police will almost certainly get a warrant if you refuse, and refusal penalties in Michigan are very harsh.
