William Maze Elected President of Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan
Lansing, April 16, 2014, William Maze has been elected statewide president of Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, commonly known as CDAM. CDAM is one of Michigan’s leading criminal defense organizations, with a membership composed of criminal defense lawyers who practice in Michigan’s state and federal courts.
CDAM serves as an important professional organization for Michigan criminal defense attorneys. Its work includes continuing legal education, professional support, advocacy for the criminal defense bar, and efforts to improve the quality of representation for people accused of crimes. The organization also plays a role in significant appellate issues affecting criminal law and criminal procedure in Michigan, including participation as amicus curiae in appropriate cases.
The presidency of CDAM is an elected position, and the term of office is one year.
