4. When asked to recite the alphabet, count backwards, or to perform any other field sobriety tests, politely say, “I AM REFUSING TO PERFORM FIELD SOBRIETY TESTS ON THE ADVICE OF AN ATTORNEY.”
Virtually anything you say or do during the roadside investigation can be used against you. Say as little as possible. Do not submit to the eye test. Exercise your rights but remain calm and polite.
